Designer and builder Pete Bowman has produced and developed designs of contemporary and traditional homes for over 15 years, independently and in collaboration with Nicholas Design Collaborative, Studio Talo Architecture, Amy Reichert Architecture & Design, Waechter Architects, and Environs Development. His expertise spans from schematic design to complete permit and construction drawings to construction management and production.
A licensed General Contractor, Pete has performed work as Lever Design/Build, specializing in medium to small residential projects from concept to completion. In partnership with Norwood Design Studio, his custom millwork and cabinetry was featured in Rue Magazine in 2025. Regardless of budget, he believes that good design consists of insightful problem-solving and functional luxury.
Pete’s Urban Farmhouse design was a short-listed finalist for the 2019 Disruptive Design competition in Chicago, initiated by the Chicago Housing Policy Task Force, seeking to address the challenges associated with designing and building affordable, owner-occupied housing.
